Yummy, my favorite Italian dessert, it’s simple and light. My tip when making tiramisu, I love to use a lot of Amaretto because the flavor is amazing.

Serves up to 5 people

Ingredients :

- 500gr of mascarpone cheese at room temperature

- 50gr of sugar

- 15gr of vanilla sugar

- 4 eggs

- Ladyfingers (I use the whole package)

- 2 cups of strong coffee

- 4 tablespoons of Amaretto

- cocoa powder for dusting


1. First separate the 4 eggs, and place 4 of the egg whites in one bowl, and 4 egg yolks in another.

2. Mix the egg yolks with the sugar and add the mascarpone.

3. Whip the egg whites until stiff.

4. Mix both of the mixtures together. Make sure that the mixture stays light.

5. Mix the coffee with the Amaretto in a separate bowl.

6. Take a serving dish and cover the bottom of this dish with 1 layer of the egg mixture.

7. Dip some ladyfingers into the mixture of the coffee and the Amaretto. Afterwards layer them on top of the bottom layer (egg mixture) of the serving dish.

8. Sprinkle some cocoa powder on top.

9. Repeat steps 6, 7 and 8.

10. The final layer is the egg mixture with some cocoa powder on top.

11. Put it in the fridge for about 4 hours so it can become firm/stiffen up.

12. When serving add some cocoa powder on top.
