OATMEAL WITH PEANUT BUTTER AND CARAMELIZED BANANA

This truly is my morning happiness in a bowl. I started this new morning routine about 3 months ago. I wake up super early in the morning so that I can have some me-time before heading to work. Some me-time in the morning with a healthy breakfast is the perfect combination.

It’s the first time that I am trying this combo and it’s a real mood booster to start your day. Because I make hot oatmeal my toppings begin to melt, delicious. Enjoy your day, love cece.




Good for one bowl

Ingredients:

- 50gr of oatmeal flakes

- 300ml of almond milk

- 1 banana

- 1 tablespoon of peanut butter

- 1 tablespoon of maple syrup

- 1 tablespoon of dark brown sugar

- ½ teaspoon of coconut oil

- Pinch of chocolate flakes


Recipe:

1. Take a saucepan and place it on a low fire.

2. Add the oatmeal flakes, almond milk and maple syrup to the saucepan. Stir this mixture together.

3. In the meanwhile, peel the banana and cut in half

4. Place another saucepan on a high fire.

5. Add the coconut oil.

6. Once the coconut oil is hot, add the banana together with the brown sugar. Let this caramelize.

7. Lower your fire so the banana doesn’t burn.

8. Turn the banana from time to time, so it can caramelize on each side.

9. Turn down your fire once the banana is ready.

10. Turn down the fire from oatmeal and let it rest for 1 minute.

11. Take a small bowl.

12. Add the oatmeal, a tablespoon of peanut butter, the caramelized banana and the chocolate flakes. Because of the hot oatmeal, the chocolate will melt.
