CRISPY CHICKPEAS (POPCORN)

Amazing and delicious a dose of these roasted chickpeas. I call it popcorn because it really reminds me of it and it’s amazing as a healthy snack or for in your salad.

Plus it’s an easy recipe. The recipe is up on the blog. Enjoy your new week, I’ll be making content the whole day. Lots of love, C.

Ingredients for 1 portion:

- 200gr of chickpeas

- Olive oil

- Chili flakes

- Salt

- Pepper

- Cumin

- Cayenne powder

- Roasted red bell pepper powder

- Parchment paper / baking paper

Recipe:

1. Soak the chickpeas in cold water during the night.

2. Once they are thoroughly soaked in water you can cook them in salted

water. Make sure to fill your cooking with 3 times more water than the

chickpeas. Let it cook for about 45 to 55 minutes, depends on the

chickpeas that you use.

3. Preheat your oven on 200°C.

4. Once the chickpeas are cooked, place them in a colander (to remove the

excess water).

5. Take an oven dish and place the parchment / baking paper in it.

6. Put the chickpeas on top of the baking paper, spread them evenly.

7. Sprinkle some olive oil on top and add cayenne powder, salt, pepper, chili

flakes, cumin and red bell pepper powder.

8. Place the oven dish in the oven for about 25 minutes.

9. After 25 minutes, you stir in the oven dish.

10. Let them roast for another 20 minutes.

11. Remove the dish from the oven and let the chickpeas cool down.
