Cranberry season is upon us and I love to prepare a sauce out of cranberries as a side dish. Fits well together with a stew, with a piece of turkey, in desserts or even in your oatmeal for breakfast. Because I make this sauce with jelly sugar, you can keep it for at least 2 weeks. Cranberries are known for their sour-bitter flavor, but it tastes perfect together with cinnamon and orange.

-340gr of cranberries

-120gr of water

-50gr of sugar

-100gr of gelatin sugar

-2 tablespoons of flour

-1 lime

-3 oranges

-2 star anises

-2 cinnamon sticks

-Sea salt

1.Take a big cooking pot and place it on a medium-high fire, add the

cranberries and the water and let this simmer.

2.Add the sugar and the gelatin sugar to the cooking pot, stir thoroughly

3.Add the cinnamon, star anises and a pinch of sea salt to the cooking pot.

4.Juice the lemon and the oranges, add the juice to the cooking pot.

5.Let this simmer on a low fire for about 20 to 30 minutes.

6.Stir everything together and taste it.

7.Add the flour to the cooking pot and stir everything together. (I added this

last so you can choose if you prefer it sweeter or not).

8.Let it cool down and you can serve it cold (or hot).
